Several events coincided with World Down Syndrome Day and International Day of Puppeteer have been recently held in Kazan Rehabilitation Centre for Children with Disabilities.

The Ministry of Labour, Employment and Social Protection of the Republic of Tatarstan in cooperation with concerned bodies of state administration, self-governing authorities, regulatory and supervisory authorities, law-enforcement authorities as well as taxation authorities carry on taking measures to observe the rights of employees specifically in a part of payment of wages in full and on time.

The 7th “Sunny” Children Forum for parents upbringing children with disabilities has been held today in the Rehabilitation Centre for Children with Disabilities in Bugulma.

Over the years of its existence of Kazan Rehabilitation Centre for Children with Disabilities parents upbringing children with Down syndrome have gathered in one team.

The General Assembly decided to designate 21 March as World Down Syndrome Day, to be observed every year beginning in 2012 and invited all Member States, relevant organizations of the United Nations system and other international organizations, as well as civil society, including non-governmental organizations and the private sector, to observe World Down Syndrome Day in an appropriate manner, in order to raise public awareness of Down syndrome.

The fosterlings of Mendeleyevsk Social Shelter for Minors have recently taken part in the Cross-country skiing championship in Tukayevo coincided with the 90-th anniversary of “Dinamo” sport society in the Republic of Tatarstan.

The specialists in rehabilitation of children with special needs of the Rehabilitation Centre for Children with Disabilities in Naberezhnye Chelny during group and individual trainings pay special attention of parents to peculiarities and capabilities of  children with Down syndrome, tech effective techniques of stimulation of cognitive activity, mental performance, oral activity and play activity. Together with mothers and fathers of such children the specialists of the Centre find out individual attention to each child.

A round table discussion devoted to emergency procedures and fire safety has been recently held in the Social Rehabilitation Department of the Complex Social Service Centre in Baltasy. The meeting was held with participation of Gabdulla Ganiev, the commander of local firefighting service.

Group training for children has been recently held by the specialists of Social Rehabilitation Department of the Complex Social Service Centre in Kazan. The event was organized in the frames of implementation of the Republican Children's Strategy for 2013–2017 in the Republic of Tatarstan.

There are 18 656 people registered as unemployed with the government employment service in Tatarstan as of March 15. The jobless level in Tatarstan stands at 0,9% of economically active population.
