Mmusical evening “Tatarstan – our sweet home” coincided with the 100th Anniversary of Tatar Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic was recently held by specialists in social work of Rehabilitation Center for People with disabilities in municipal district of Naberezhnye Chelny. The event gathered 37 clients of the Centre – senior citizens and people with disabilities.

Gardening program for children has being implemented in the social shelter for minors in Pestretsy municipal district in the frames of the Republican Social Project “We can do it together”. The children spend hours digging, watering and tending to flowers, fruit and vegetables that they have planted. According to specialists in social work, special needs youngsters thrive when given horticultural tasks.

More than 100 children – fosterlings of the specialized institutions for minors aged 10 -17 years are expected to take part in the war-patriotic camp-fire Robinson - 2017 that will be opened next week in one of the health improvement camps of Naberezhnye Chelny.

Several lessons on professional orientation were held last week by Elena Antonova, specialist of Employment Centre, within the walls of the Rehabilitation Center for Children with Disabilities. The lessons gathered more than twenty children – clients of the Centre. Together with their parents the children were acquainted with a wide world of professions suitable for people with disabilities.

Marathon Relay “Veni, vidi, vici!” was recently held in the social shelter for minors in Nizhnekamsk municipal district. The event was held with the aim to promote healthy life style among fosterlings of the shelter.

Clients of the residential care facility for senior citizens and people with disabilities of Chistopol municipal district joined a team of sportsmen with disabilities of Society of the Disabled with the purpose to take part in Republican Championship Among People with Disabilities that was held last week in Nizhnekamsk municipal district.

An offsite meeting of the guardian council of the social shelter for minors was recently organized in Bugulma Municipal district. The meeting was held with participation of Tatyana Larionova, Deputy Chairman of the State Council of the Republic of Tatarstan and Elmira Zaripova, Minister of Labour, Employemnt and Social Protection of the Republic of Tatarstan.

Specialized employment fair for students graduating from educational institutions of intermediate vocational education was held on 10 August 2017 within the walls of the Employment Centre of Naberezhnye Chelny.

Regular meeting concerning employment of disabled people of active working age was held within the walls of the Employment Centre in Zainsk municipal district on 8 and 10 August 2017 with participation of local employers. Among participants of the event were as well local authorities – Ilnar Khafizov, Head of the Executive Committee.

10 August 2017, regular meeting with participation of local employers has been held today within the walls of the Employment Centre in Mamadysh municipal district. The agenda of the meeting included such issues as promotion of disabled employment, implementation of disabled person's individual rehabilitation programmes, accessible environment, employment and labour legislation.
