The history of this day goes back to 1922, when the Soviet leadership proposed to commemorate the fourth anniversary of the creation of the Red Army and the Red Navy. Although the decree on the organization of the two military branches was signed in January of 1918, it wasn't until February 23 when the first mass conscription of soldiers and volunteers began. The day was officially named Red Army Day.

Employment Centre of Zelenodolsk municipal district offers a variety of "hands-on" courses for unemployed people that teach real skills employers need. Lately professional courses for future electric equipment maintenance and repair electricians attended by 8 students were ended.

Originally known as Red Army Day, marking the creation of the Red (Soviet) Army in 1918, the holiday endured several name changes. The last one was in 2002 when it officially became a public holiday. Although the celebration has an obviously military origin, it’s more often referred to as the Men’s Day and is considered to be the male equivalent of International Women’s Day (March 8).

Many teens would either not feel comfortable voting or would adopt the positions of their parents -- or vote for whichever party their friends did.
