Issues concerning disabled employment discussed in Avtograd

With the aim to fulfill minutes of meeting of the Council on Disability Affairs under the President of the republic of Tatarstan a meeting devoted to issues concerning disabled employment and disabled employment quotas was recently held in the town of Naberezhnye Chelny. The meeting was held with participation of Natalya Kropotova, Deputy Head of the Executive Committee, Tatyana Byidanova, Head of the Employment Centre and more than 20 representatives of municipal institutions of preschool education.

Natalya Kropotova in her report pointed out that in spite of existing national programmes focused on employment promotion, disabled employment was supposed to remain a challenging task. Nevertheless the situation improved in terms of legislation. For example, in 2014 disabled employment quotas for enterprises of large and medium-sized businesses with more than 100 people employed were fixed at point of 2% - 4% of the total number of employees. Starting in 2015 disabled employment quotas were fixed as well for small business enterprises with more than 35 employees which amounted to 3%.

The Head of the Employment Centre in her turn informed the participants of the meeting about existing national programmes implemented by the State Employment Service and answered questions asked by the audience.
