Social adaptation of women registered on social patronage

Several lectures on alcohol abuse and alcohol-related diseases were given by specialist in social work and social teacher of Social Assistance Department of Kukmor Complex Social Service Centre. The lecturers informed the audience that alcohol misuse among women in modern life has been a major public health and social issue in recent decades.

During the lectures its participants were asked to answer the question “What can be done to help protect women from alcohol harm? Treatment for an alcohol problem depends on its severity. Health care providers can help a woman take a good hard look at what effect alcohol is having on her life and can give advice on ways to stop drinking or to cut down.
