Disabled employment issues discussed in Nizhnekamsk

Regular meeting of the Council on Disability Affairs has been recently held in Nizhnekamsk.

The meeting was held in the form of dialog so that its participants received an opportunity not only to make progress reports but also bring up concern that needed to be addressed.

According to official data there are more than 18 000 people with disabilities or around 7% of the total number of residents of Nizhnekamsk municipal district as of today. Among them 854 children aged under 18 years, 569 wheel chairpersons.

The agenda of the meeting included, among other things, issues of disabled employment. According to statistics this year 373 people with disabilities used services rendered by Nizhnekamsk Employment Centre with the aim to find a suitable work. Among them 129 people were placed in jobs, for 45people out of occupation professional training courses were organized.
