Heroes of the Fatherland Day honored in Orenburg

Several festive events coincided with Heroes of the Fatherland Day have been held today in Orenburg. The events gathered guests and participants from all over the Volga Federal District.
The main event coincided with Heroes of the Fatherland Day was held in the Palace of Culture and Sport “Gazovik” with participation of more than 700 guests. Among them were ten Heroes of Russia, one Hero of the Soviet Union, fourteen Heroes of Socialist Labour, 3 Full Cavaliers of the Order of Labour Glory as well as relatives of Heroes, military men, cadets of military schools, schoolchildren.

In order to organize systematic work to support various categories of Fatherland defenders, participants in heroic events, as well as to perpetuate the memory of servicemen and law enforcement officials who died in the performance of military and official duty, a public project of the Volga Federal District “Heroes of the Fatherland” was held.
