Movement for Sobriety launched in Kazan

Today, social project “Movement for Sobriety” was announced to be launched in the Republic of Tatarstan in 2016 – 2017 at the press-conference held in news agency Tatar-inform.
The project involved 47 women suffering from alcohol dependence from seven municipal raions of Tatarstan. The average age of participants amounted to30-40 years, period of alcohol abuse – from 5 to 10 years.
Summarizing the results of work done in 2016, with the help of the social project 84 children were not taken from families having drinking problems, 11 children were placed in families that managed to cope up with the problem of alcohol addiction. According to speaker, five million rubles would be earmarked for a project in 2017.
