Foster families for 30 seniors of Tatarstan

A pilot project “Foster family for senior citizens” is announced to be started on January 1, 2017 by Ministry of Labour, Employment and Social Protection of the Republic of Tatarstan. Following the idea of the authors of the project the abovementioned initiative is supposed to improve the quality of life of senior citizen that are not able to take care of themselves anymore. According to Ministry’s plans, there will be 30 senior citizens placed in foster families in 2017 in total.

The specialist of the Minister underlines that those who intend to become a foster family for a senior have firstly to qualify for it in social security bodies. Special commission will examine material security as well as psychological climate inside the families of candidates.

The services agreement will be signed by four parties: social service institution, financial department, service receiver and foster family.
