Meeting of parents upbringing children with Down syndrome

The specialists of the Kukmor Rehabilitation Centre for Children with Disabilities organized a meeting coincided with World Down Syndrome Day. The aim of the meeting was to get together families upbringing children with autistic spectrum disorders and Down syndrome and provide the opportunity to share their personal experience. With the purpose to teach parents to render daily assistance to their children with mental disabilities and answer their questions some lectures on the issue were read.

According to specialists in rehabilitation, such meetings are supposed to be of great use both for parents and children as they help children to feel self-confident and receive support, find answers on matters of concern.
