Children’s rights ombudsman visits Kukmor Rehabilitation Centre for Children with Disabilities

Guzel Udachina, the Children’s rights ombudsman for the Republic of Tatarstan has recently visited the Rehabilitation Centre for Children with Disabilities in Kukmor. The ombudsman was accompanied by Ilsiyar Garifullina, the Chairman of the Governmental Committee for the Affairs of Minors and Protection of Their Rights. The aim of the visit was to familiarize with the activity of the Centre and monitor the observance of the rights and legitimate interests of minors.

The visitors inspected the workshops of the Centre - sewing classroom and joiner's's shop. The specialists of the Centre informed the guests about the methods and results of occupational therapy implemented in the Centre. The children demonstrated the results of their creative work – handcrafted items gathered in one exhibition.
