Open Forum on the Prevention of Juvenile Delinquency in Kazan

The Republican Open Forum devoted to the issues of the prevention of juvenile delinquency has been recently held in the Republic of Tatarstan. More than 100 specialists took part in the Forum: the representatives of the Public Chamber, republican ministries, socially orientated not-for-profit organizations, workers of social care institutions, the specialists of social sphere from different territorial entities of the RF.

Upon the results of the Forum the participants agreed that there has been an effective system of prevention of deviant behavior of minors and children abuse worked out in the Republic of Tatarstan. What is more, the social services on supporting families at risk are rapidly developing nowadays.

During the work of the Forum the specialists suggested to step up the work on involving minors at risk and children that are in trouble with the law in volunteerism and sport clubs. It was as well pointed out that that socially orientated not-for-profit organizations should be involved in creation and implementation of the projects and programs in this sphere. Furthermore, an opinion to file a petition to the Republican Commission for Juvenile Affairs about the necessity of opening a special centre for alcohol addicted and drug-dependent minors was brought out.

The Forum was held with the aim to accumulate the innovative practice of work with children at risk and exchange experience between the specialists from territorial entities of the RF in the field of drug addiction prevention.
