The specialists of Bugulma Rehabilitation Centre Rebirth taught master classes devoted to the problem of implementation of innovative methods and programs with the aim to improve the quality of rendering services. That day the case was focused on work with a child with Down’s syndrome. The girl was hard to communicate with other children as well as adults. After several classes of sand therapy during which she expressed her thoughts with the help of the “images on sand” she managed to adapt and showed the interest for the outward things and started to play with other children.
Logopaedist A.Latifullina gave some tips about how to use the method of visual simulation to solve the problem of child’s interestingness and rapid fatigability. The teacher M.Khokhlova used non-traditional drawing technics without a brush.
In the end of the master classes the specialists discussed the effective use of art technologies while treating a child and developing his creativity.
The specialists point out that art cure is supposed to be the leading trend in the work of the Centre. Dough art helps to reveal and get rid of negative experience that has not been passed through. What’s more it contributes the sense experience of a child, and stimulates understanding of speech among the unsociable children with autism.
