Buinsk Social Service Centre Harmony takes measures on drug abuse prevention

The specialist of Buinsk Social Service Centre Harmony organized several events and sport games in local children’s camps including country recreation camp Seagull. The aim was to prevent drug abuse and promote healthy leaving. In total 260 children from economically disadvantaged families took part in the events.

Besides, a game “Be health – it’s cool” was organized in country recreation camp Seagull. The children took part in active games, and a quiz show, composed the proverbs with the word Health. What’s more there was a special communicational skills training organized for the teenagers. The training was focused on development of group cohesiveness, self-respect and creativity.

In the end of the month a meeting devoted to the problems of drug abuse prevention was organized in cooperation with the Federal Drug Control Service of the Russian Federation, Youth, Sport and Tourism Affairs Division, Education Department, Social Service Centre Harmony and volunteers.

It should be noted that the above described events were organized in the frames of the Drug abuse awareness month Drug Free Living coincided with the  International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking.
