Republican centre Gayle holds the seminar devoted to the problems of work with families with alcohol dependency

Specialists of the Ministry of Labor, Employment and Social protection and the Republican information and methodological centre Gayle held a seminar devoted to the problems of work with families with alcohol dependency. Representatives of The Public Chamber, Federal Drug Control Service of the Russian Federation, detoxication centers, non-governmental organizations, specialists of social service institutions took part in the seminar. The participants discussed the main problems in work with alcohol abuse and ways of solution.

During the work of the seminar the specialists pointed out that the number of families and minors with alcohol abuse under the interdepartmental patronage is decreasing. There are 2 711 minors and 1 400 families under the interdepartmental social patronage in Tatarstan as of May this year. This makes up 75% of the of the total number of minors under the interdepartmental social patronage. It should be noted that the number of families with alcohol dependency decreased by 15% compared with a year earlier.

According to the statistics, there are 37 minors with alcohol dependency placed under the interdepartmental social patronage in 11 municipal raions as of the 1st of May 2014, 7 people (16% ) less in comparison to the showings of the last year.

During the workshop, the participants discussed the methods of work with families with alcohol abuse as well as using the media technologies and dramatic performances to cover a topic of chemical dependency.
