Yesterday, social care teacher and psychologist of Arsk Social Service Centre organized a special professional orientation game “Vocational choice – Choice for the future”. The game was focused on determining the professional identity of the teenagers, developing professional interests and preferable types of activity.
Among the participants were children from the families at risk, families with many children, single-parent families, economically disadvantaged families. Taking part in the game helped to reveal leadership skills, capacity to make quick and correct decisions as well as allowed children get detailed information about different professions and specialities. With the aim to determine preferable types of activity the Centre psychologist conducted the survey “Interests Chart by A.Golomshtok”. Social care teacher explained the teens how to find a job during the holidays, told about the high-demand professions on the labour market.
The Contest organizers hope that the participants broadened their outlook, having watched the presentation “World of Professions” and that the information they got would help children to make the right choice.
