Workers of social sphere of Tatarstan help their colleagues

The Ministry of Labour, Employment and Social protection organized a drive to raise funds for the caseworkers of Khabarovsk affected by the flooding of the Amur River. The proceeds will be charged to a special account. Minister Ayrat Shafigullin keeps in touch over the telephone with his colleague Nikolay Tsilyurik, the Minister of Social protection of the Khabarovsk Territory.

All the subordinate authorities of the Ministry supported the idea to help people in need. “We heard about the disaster in Far East in the news and decided to lend our support to people in such a difficult situation, says Svetlana Shaekhova, the Director of social service centre “Shafkat” in Tukayevsky raion, people were left without a home at the approach of winter, they need warm clothes, food, hygiene accommodations. We hope our donations will help at least few our colleagues – they are, indeed, thoughtful of others then themselves. We want them to get not only money but also the warmth of our hearts”.

The personnel of the rest home for senior citizens and disabled people in Menselinsk as well made up their mind to donate their day rate salary to help the citizens of Far East. “The salaries in the sphere of social support are really not so high and this gesture is another chance to prove social workers to be merciful, kind and whole-souled, non-indifferent to someone else's troubles, says Ilsiya Khabibullina, the Director of the rest home.

In total 8 000 workers of social sphere took part in the charitable action. Slump sum of donations amounted to 1 336 000 rubles.
