Eid al-Fitr falling on 8 August to declare a non-working day (holiday)

In accordance with the Law 1448-XII of 19 February 1992 “Holidays and commemorative dates” Eid al-Fitr is declared to be a non-working day (holiday).

The day which according to the lunar calendar and existing sacred tradition is the first day of Eid al-Fitr holiday is used to be fixed by the Decree of the President of Tatarstan.

This year 8 August 2013 is determined to be the day one by the Decree of the President of Tatarstan № 624 of 12 July 2013 “About the Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha holiday dates”.

Length of working-day on 7 August will be cut by 1 hour.
