According to specialists, Anxiety symptoms are common in children and adolescents, with 10-20% of school-aged children experiencing anxiety symptoms. An even larger number of children experience stress that does not qualify as an anxiety disorder.
With the aim to help children and their parents manage their emotions and improve family and parent-adolescent relationships, several trainings were organized last week by specialists in social work in the Complex Social Service Centre of Tyulyachinsky municipal district.
Parents were advised to spend time with their children, listen to them, and connect while doing things together that they both enjoy. If the lines of communication are open, children will be more likely to talk to their parents and use them as a resource when they're stressed.
