Training workshop at Residential Care Facility of Verkhniye Otary

Training workshop for medical workers, social teachers and nursing personnel of an orphan asylum for mentally-retarded children was recently organized by A.Bitova and A.Fadina – specialists of Autonomous Nonprofit Organization “Center for Curative Pedagogics” (Moscow) in Verkhniye Otary village settlement.

Prior to the Workshop an excursion around the care home was given to specialists with the aim to inspect living conditions and infrastructure of the social institution.

At the Workshop the specialists in social service discussed the following issues: medical and social rehabilitation and social adaptation of mentally challenged children, education opportunities and rehabilitation equipment used in work with children with special needs.
