Maslenitsa festival in Bugulma municipal district

A Maslenitsa festival celebration, held to see off winter, was staged at an ice ground by Kazan’s Ekiyat puppet theatre on Saturday. Delegation of Bugulma municipal district consisting of clients of the Rehabilitation Centre for Children with Disabilities and their parents visited Kazan to join the celebration.

The festivity brought together a great many people of various ages. The atmosphere of joy and merriness left nobody indifferent. Newcomers were met with a tight-knit circle dance and song singing. The diversions were to any liking and included ice slides, and camel, horse and pony riding. Ice castles and candyfloss caused admiration in the children, while the grownups danced to ritual songs.
