Bust of Marat Akhmetshin – Hero of the Russian Federation died in Syria has been completed and installed today in the Victory Park in Layshevo municipal district. The opening ceremony was started with the meeting devoted to Heroes of Homeland Day.
The event was held with participation of Mikhail Afanasyev - Head of Layshevo municipal district, Elvira Kamalova - First Deputy Minister of Culture of the Republic of Tatarstan, Boris Kuznetsov – Hero of the Soviet Union, Fidus Askhadullin - Hero of Socialist Labour, veterans of the Great Patriotic war, cadets and volunteers.

In order to organize systematic work to support various categories of Fatherland defenders, participants in heroic events, as well as to perpetuate the memory of servicemen and law enforcement officials who died in the performance of military and official duty, a public project of the Volga Federal District “Heroes of the Fatherland” was held.
