International Volunteer Day 2017 in municipal district of Apastovo

International Volunteer Day is celebrated worldwide on 5 December , in recognition of the positive solidarity of volunteers around the world who answer calls in times of crisis, helping save lives today and supporting those who want to continue living their lives with dignity tomorrow.

To celebrate the date, a meeting with activists of local volunteers divisions was held within the walls of the Agricultural College in municipal district of Apastovo. According to Leysan Gayfutdinova, social teacher of one of the social service institutions the date is viewed as a unique chance for volunteers and organizations to celebrate their efforts, to share their values, and to promote their work among their communities, non-governmental organizations, government authorities and the private sector.
