Disabled employment issues discussed in Zelenodolsk Employment Centre

Last Friday, no 4 August 2017 a regular meeting with local employers devoted to issues of employment quota system for people with disabilities set for enterprises and organizations in 2017.

The meeting was held with participation of the following enterprises and organizations carrying out their activity in the territory of Zelenodolsk municipal district: AO Zelenodolsk milk processing factory, PAO Zelenodolsk plywood manufacturing plant, Essen Retail Shopping Centre, OOO Optovik, Zeelnodolsk Mechanical College.

The integration of disabled people in the labour market was agreed to be one of the biggest challenges for social and labour market policies. Healthimpaired persons face a range of employment barriers, not least because recent changes in technology and globalization trends have led to a shift towards highly-skilled jobs. Thus, there is a reduced demand for less qualified types of labour, in which disabled persons are over-represented. In addition, the recent economic crisis hit disadvantaged people hard and increased their inactivity- and unemployment rates.
