Several lessons on ecological succession were recently given for children with disabilities – clients of the Rehabilitation Center for Children with Disabilities in town of Naberezhnye Chelny. The children were gathered on Kama river shore to spend several hours in the out-of-doors.
This lessons addressed the concept that changes in ecosystems were sometimes slow and take hundreds or thousands of years and, at other times, could take place suddenly. Instruction and review were included in a game format that provided a platform for discussion.
