Day of Remembrance and Grief – the beginning of Great Patriotic War in Bugulma

Several lessons on patriotic education were held in social shelter for minors in Bugulma municipal district prior to Day of Remembrance and Grief – the beginning of Great Patriotic War.
In that war the Soviet Union lost 27 million lives, about 6 million were taken prisoner. Special commemorative events will be held all across Russia on 22 June in their memory. Russians will light candles and leave flowers at memorials, while at churches of the Russian Orthodox Church a liturgy for the dead will be performed.
