Therapeutic use of photography in social work of social care institutions

Specialists in social work of the Complex Social Service Centre in Mendeleyevsk municipal district make the best use of photography as a tool in social work.
According to specialists, clients of the Centre were surprised to discover the power of photography, the heightened awareness of beauty in the world, the gratification from capturing a unique image, and the esteem of being the one with the camera.
Typically, these photographic activities are done in group or individual therapy and focused on social skills, coping skills, self-esteem, or identity for adults and adolescents.
