Awareness session focused on promotion HIV prevention and reducing the incidence of HIV was recently held within the walls of the Complex Social Service Centre by specialists in social work. The intended audience was represented by families at risk registered on social patronage.
Yoldyiz Fatikhova and Anna Treskina, social teachers of the Centre informed the participants about what HIV/AIDS is, world and national statistics, stages and symptoms of HIV infection.
The aim of the HIV/AIDS Awareness Programme is to empower and increase the awareness to participants of HIV/AIDS, its impact, management and availability of support systems.
