Russia to host 45th WorldSkills Competition in 2019

In a spirited and close vote of the WorldSkills Members during the General Assembly, the city of Kazan, Russia, has been selected to host the WorldSkills Competition in 2019. The award was made as the result of a vote taken at the WorldSkills General Assembly meeting held in São Paulo, Brazil, 10 August 2015.

The delegation of the Republic of Tatarstan consisted of the President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, the mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin, assistant of the President of the Republic of Tatarstan Radik Gimatdinov, the Minister of Labour, Employment and Social Protection of the Republic of Tatarstan Elmira Zaripova, the Minister of Youth Affairs and Sport of the Republic of Tatarstan Vladimir Leonov.
