The specialists of Kazan Social Care centre held a special meeting with families at social risk aimed on prevention adolescent suicide.
The parents were informed about the specific nature of adolescent suicide, common reasons and contributing factors, preventive measures every parent should take and got the opportunity to share their experience on the problem and ask their questions. All the participants were supplied with the resource packs of information.
Upon the results of the discussion, the following reasons of adolescent suicide were determined as the most fundamental: the study load at school, alcohol and drugs abuse, harmful influence of internet, subcultures. Among the most effective preventive measures were named: control of circle of contacts including social network contacts and square talks.
The event was held as a part of the Interdepartmental Children Neglect Homelessness Drug Abuse Complex Plan.
