Eid al-Adha to be celebrated on 4, 5 and 6 October

In accordance with the Law 1448-XII of 19 February 1992 “Holidays and commemorative dates” Eid al-Adha is declared to be a non-working day (holiday).

4 October this year was determined to be the beginning of Eid al-Adha celebrations by the Decree of the President of Tatarstan № 624 of 12 July 2013 “About the Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha holiday dates”.

This year the 4th of October falls on weekend day – Saturday. In accordance with Article 112 of the Labour Code of the Russian Federation, the holiday falling on a weekend day, is pushed forward on the first working day. In such a manner, the weekend day – Saturday is pushed forward on Monday, the 6th of October 2014.

In summary, the 4th. 5th and 6th of October are declared to be holidays in the Republic of Tatarstan.
