Eid al-Fitr falling on 28 July to be declared a non-working day (holiday)

The Ministry of Labour, Employment and Social protection informs.

In accordance with the Law 1448-XII of 19 February 1992 Holidays and commemorative dates,  Eid al-Fitr is declared to be a non-working day (holiday).

The day which according to the lunar calendar and existing sacred tradition is the first day of Eid al-Fitr holiday is used to be fixed by the Decree of the President of Tatarstan.

This year, 28 July 2013 is determined to be the day one by the Decree of the President of Tatarstan № 624 of 12 July 2013 About the Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha holiday dates.
