On May 17 the International day of children's telephone hotline is celebrated

The Russian Federation joined to celebration of the International day of children's telephone hotline in 2009. Emergency service of socio-psychological assistance to children by phone appeared for the first time in our country in the late eighties. In Tatarstan the beginning to such service was on August 24, in 2010 when the Fund of support of children being in difficult life experience (Moscow) and the Government of the Republic of Tatarstan signed the cooperation agreement. Today in the republic five children's telephone hotlines, connected to a single all-Russia phone number.
