Day of Athlete in Saby municipal district

Several sports events coincided with the Day of Athlete have been held today in Saby municipal district. One of them – “Football For All!” was organized by specialists in social work of the Complex Social Service Centre.

The history of this festival dates back to the first decades of the USSR. The Day of the Athlete was introduced with the Decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR in 1939. Even a child knew the slogan «In a healthy body - a healthy mind!».
