Pupils of the rehabilitation center for children and teenagers with the limited possibilities "Renaissance" have decided to make the brownie. Before proceeding to the creative work on realization of their idea, children have got acquainted with folk beliefs from which they have learned that the given character appears in front of people in the image of a gray-haired old man of small growth and he is a keeper of house well-being.
Having armed with a thread with a needle, children have made amulets of improvised materials of a sacking and a bast. Everyone brownie has turned out the reflection of desires: with coins – on riches, with grain – for a full bowl.
Children believe that just the brownie keeps order and watches the atmosphere in the house, protects a dwelling from fire and other troubles.
Except creativity and imagination development, the given occupation has also one more great value: children rally among themselves, in their hearts is strengthened the awareness of themselves as a part of the common house where everyone is close and understands each other .
Employees of the center hope that brownies surely will help children and members of their families.
