Prior to the Great Victory Day fosterlings of the social shelter for minors together with their teachers met together in a classroom with the aim to join St. George Ribbon campaign by making greeting cards and souvenirs out of Saint George's ribbon.
At the holiday concert dedicated to the Great Victory Day, children presented guests of the event – battle-front veterans and former workers on home front with the handicrafts.
According to organizers of the event, St. George Ribbon campaign is a non-political project aimed at preserving the historical memory. The campaign, which was planned to be local and short-term, has become a national tradition.
