In connection with numerous complaints of citizens on the question of holidays in January 2012, the Ministry of labour, employment and social protection of the Republic of Tatarstan informs.
In accordance with article 112 of the Labor code of the Russian Federation non-working holidays are:
1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 of January - New year holidays; 7 January - Christmas day.
In 2012, the non-working holidays, 1 and 7 January coincide with the days off - Sunday and Saturday. Under the above article of the Labor code of the Russian Federation in the case of coincidence of the output and working the festive days of the day off is transferred to the next after the working day. Accordingly, a day off from January 1 2012г. is transferred on January 6, 2012.the output of a day from 7 January 2012. - on 9 January 2012.
Thus, during the five-day working week in 2012 1 - January 9, are days of rest.
If necessary, employers can organize the work on weekends and nonworking holidays in the order and on conditions, stipulated by articles 113 and 153 of the Labour code of the Russian Federation.
