“Blizzard” Volunteers’ Action in municipal district of Apastovo

According to Tatarstan authorities, record snowfalls such as the blizzard occurred on 6 February 2018 happen once in a century. Current temperatures in Volga region are barely above 0 degrees Celsius, not Arctic-level cold, but residents of Tatarstan are barely making their way through the snowy streets.

Local municipal services have mobilized snow cleaning equipment and resources to fight the consequences of the storm. Authorities recommend avoiding long walking trips around the towns and their outskirts as well as planning safe travel routes in advance to avoid possible risk.

“Blizzard” Volunteers’ Action in municipal district of Apastovo was aimed to help senior citizens and people with disabilities living along clean their houses and surrounding territory from snow.
