Vocational rehabilitation services and employment outcomes for people with disabilities

Several Vocational rehabilitation Programmes for People with Disabilities were launched and implemented in social service institutions of Nizhnekamsk municipal district within the Republican Strategy of Social Protection of Families at Risk for 2016-2017. Among them - Nizhnekamsk Social Assistance Centre for Family and Children that was proved to pioneer the initiatives.

Since May 2017 for educational programmes – “Hairstyling”, “Computer Literacy”, “Sewing” and “Gardening” have been implemented within the walls of the Centre. According to specialists, vocational rehabilitation is that part of the rehabilitation process that relates to employment or other useful occupation for those unable to earn an income. It embraces vocational goals as part of the rehabilitation plan.
