Heroes of the Fatherland Day marked in Kazan

A festive event coincided with the Heroes of the Fatherland Day has been held today in Kazan Town Hall. Among participants of the event were veterans of the Great Patriotic war, Heroes of Russia, Heroes of the Soviet Union, Heroes of Socialist Labour, Full Cavaliers of the Order of Labour Glory as well as relatives of Heroes, military men, cadets of military schools, schoolchildren.

The event was opened with flower-laying ceremony at the Eternal Light in the Victory Park and was continued in Kazan Town Hall. Among the honoured guests of the event were: State Advisor of the Republic of Tatarstan Mintimer Shaymiyev, Chairman of the State Council of the Republic of Tatarstan Farid Mukhametshin.
