World Temperance Day in Naberezhnye Chelny

Several events coincided with the World Temperance Day annually observed on 3 October worldwide have been held today in the Rehabilitation Centre for People with Disabilities in municipal district of Naberezhnye Chelny. The events held under slogan “Healthy People – Healthy Future” gathered fifteen people – clients of the Centre.

Ramziya Khaybullova, specialist in social work of the Centre informed participants about factors contributed to an epidemic of alcoholism that went hand-in-hand with spousal abuse, family neglect, and chronic unemployment, excessive use of alcohol injurious to physical and psychological health.
