2018: Volunteer’s Year in Russia

Vladimir Putin signed the Executive Order On Holding the Year of Volunteers in the Russian Federation. In order to promote volunteer activities, the President has declared 2018 the Year of Volunteers in the Russian Federation.

The Russian Government has been instructed to establish an organizing committee for the Year of Volunteers in Russia, and to develop and adopt a plan of the year’s major events as well. Executive bodies of the Russian Federation’s constituent entities are urged to hold all the necessary events within the framework of the Year of Volunteers in Russia.

Social service institutions of Tatarstan jumped with two feet into work on supporting volunteer’s and charity actions. In the first quarter of the year, 598 events including festive events, concerts, flash mobs, tournament and excursions were held. Number of participants involved in volunteer’s and charity actions totaled to 8 089 people .
