General meeting of Mothers’ Club was held last week within the walls of the Complex Social Service Centre in Mendeleyevsk municipal district. Mothers’ Club, is a non-profit organization that provides free education and social services to low-income families with children from birth to five years old.
The meeting was devoted to issues of professional skills training and employment of women being in parental leave last until the child reaches the age of 3 years. With the aim to provide information and clarification, the meeting was held with participation of Elena Yegorova, senior inspector of Mendeleyevsk Employment Centre.
According to specialists in work with families at risk, services provided by the Social Centre are based on a two-generation learning model that empowers both parents and children to gain knowledge and skills that improve outcomes for the whole family.
