Meeting of Women for Sobriety Club in Nizhnekamsk municipal district

Women for Sobriety Club a society for women dedicated to helping women discover an abstinent new life. It is a self-help recovery program based on the unique emotional needs of women. Women for Sobriety Club was founded several years ago upon the initiative of specialists in social work of Nizhnekamsk Social Service Centre for Family and Children.
According to specialists, not only do women face an increased number of personal problems, female alcoholics also face some serious health issues. In fact, data has proven that long-term drinking is much more dangerous to the health of women than men.6 Specific alcohol-related female health issues include liver, heart, brain diseases including breast cancer.
