Chess and Checks Tournament in Menzelinsk municipal district

The First Round of VIII Republican Chess and Checks Tournament among senior citizens and people with disabilities has been opened today in Menzelinsk municipal district.

The opening ceremony was held with participation of Ziyatdin Ziyatdinov, Chairman of Menzelinsk Veterans’ Council who greeted participants of the sports event and wished them all success.

The first round counted 11 competitors – sportsmen of senior age. According to specialist in social work, such events are supposed to be not only sports competition but as well an opportunity to meet together and share positive emotions.
