Trainings for children having difficulties in social adaptation

3 November 2017, Friday

Several communication trainings for children – clients of Kazan Complex Social Service Centre were organized by psychologists of the Centre last week. The trainings gathered children aged 8-11 years that have difficulties in social adaptation.

According to psychologists, communication training is a therapy that focuses on replacing difficult behaviour with more appropriate communication that achieves the same thing. When such trainings are used as part of an overall behavioural intervention, it does reduce difficult behaviour over both the short and long term. Research suggests that communication trainings can work better for children than adults.
